School Uniform
Students are expected to be properly dressed in appropriate school uniform whenever they are in our care. Students who are not properly dressed may be sent home or denied admission to lessons.
Details of the school uniform are listed below. All items marked with an asterisk are only available from our uniform supplier White Hall Clothiers (see below for details):

Jumper |
Forest green V-neck sweater featuring the Charter East Dulwich logo*. |
Shirt |
White polo shirt featuring the Charter East Dulwich logo*. No long sleeve tops or coloured vests / t-shirts are to be worn under the polo shirt. |
Trousers |
Smart, tailored, plain mid grey trousers of waist height and ankle length. (No jeans, denims, chinos, cords, combats, hipsters, skinny fit, recent fashion trend or other casual trouser. No trousers with accessories including leg pockets, zips etc.) |
Skirts |
Smart, tailored, plain mid grey skirts, knee length or longer. |
Socks/ tights |
Plain black, grey or white knee or ankle height socks, or plain black or grey tights. No over the knee socks or leggings. |
Shoes
|
Plain black leather shoes. No trainers (regardless of colour), canvas shoes or boots of any description. No suede shoes or Vans of any description. Plain black Kicker shoes are acceptable. |
PE Kit |
Forest green PE jumper and T shirt, both featuring the Charter East Dulwich logo*. Black shorts/skirt as appropriate and long black sports trousers. PE shoes should have white soles. Plain, dark-coloured PE kit bag. Drawstring bags are acceptable for PE Kit. |
School bag & Pencil Case |
A plain, dark-coloured rucksack without a logo that is comfortably capable of carrying textbooks, exercise books and pieces of work. Pencil Cases should include 2 blue or black pens, 1 red pen, 2 pencils, eraser and basic equipment for maths lessons (ruler, compass and protractor) |
Coat |
Plain black, dark grey or navy blue coat only - no additional logos or colours, no leather jackets. No denim jackets. |
Please note
- Hair must be of a natural colour and worn in a style suitable for school. No extreme hairstyles will be permitted, this includes colours and partial shaving or patterns. The final decision on suitability for school will be at the discretion of the senior leadership team.
- Hairstyling accessories must be in plain black or forest green only. Headscarves may be worn for religious reasons only and must be plain black.
- Students with pierced ears may wear a single pair of small matching plain gold or silver studs only, one in each ear. Students will be permitted to wear a plain wristwatch but necklaces, bracelets and facial jewellery such as nose studs are not allowed.

White Hall Clothiers are the exclusive supplier of branded uniform items. All items are available from our uniform supplier however non-branded uniform items may also be purchased elsewhere. Appointments to visit the store must be made online.

The store will aim to serve three customers at a time. Hand sanitiser will be available at the entrance and throughout the store. Staff will be wearing masks and have access to gloves etc as required. Plastic screens will be fitted in key areas of the store.
