Bulding works progressing

School building works making excellent progress

Construction of our permanent school buildings on East Dulwich Grove is making excellent progress. Kier Construction, the national building contractor that is building our state-of-the-art facilities has completed the initial foundations and floorplate stage of  the project.

Visitors to the site can already see the outlines of our design technology suites, our activity studio, seminar space, main reception and our head teacher's office.

In the past week, work has begun on the first floor of the building. The first few mathematics classrooms are being pegged out as of this writing. Construction will shortly commence on the first of our super-size science laboratories and our graphics studios.

Head Teacher Alex Crossman and Chair of Governors Simon Tucker (pictured) took these photographs during a routine site inspection. Parents cannot, unfortunately, visit the site as yet. We hope these images will give some sense of the progress being made.

A group of students will next week take part in a ceremonial finishing ceremony to mark the completion of the foundations. Other students will have the opportunity to visit the site and to learn more about the construction of their school over the coming months.
